Public Relations Specialist (Long Island City, NY)
Plan and execute Public Relations campaigns for the organization’s projects and productions including shows, workshops, lectures, exhibitions via press release, pitch letters, newsletters, media placement, social media on a local, national, and international scale;
Establish social media presence and maintain relationships with art partners, collaborators, donors, audience, communities in China, USA and Europe;
Assist in establishing new work relationships with creative collaborators and cultural institutions using knowledge in theater arts and public communication;
Develop and maintain liaisons with national and international media outlets, arts and cultural organizations, venues to raise company’s profile and public image;
Promote productions and bookings using intercultural communications, marketing and PR strategies;
Coordinate digital media and brand identity development using media aesthetics and media management;
Draft project proposals and pitch national/international venues;
Develop PR plans to attract new members and oversee membership management.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, International Relations, Marketing, or Communications plus skills and knowledge in Theatre Arts, Media Aesthetics, Intercultural Communication, Public Communication, PR & Advertising Campaign, Media Management.
