DESCRIPTION:CTW’s co-artistic directors\, Kuang-Yu Fong and Stephen Kaplin\, distill their decades of of research and professional experience in creating cross-cultural performances into a dynamic series of talks and demonstrations that explore the aesthetics\, history and contemporary practice of Chinese theater\, puppetry using video\, Powerpoint and video  presentations as well as  hands-on encounters with the performing objects and performance practice\, makes these informative presentations in-depth learning experiences. \n World Shadow Lecture/demo \n A lively\, guided tour by shadow master and designer Stephen Kaplin\, this presentation is a stimulating introduction to the ancient art  of making moving images out of light\, screen  and flat\,  jointed figures.
